Bitouni Taybeh 2021 — Taybeh Winery
At 1,000 metres above sea level in the northern Hebron hills — one of Palestine's most celebrated wine-growing regions — the indigenous Bitouni grape finds its ideal home. This is a variety native to Palestine, grown in an area long recognised as the source of the country's finest indigenous grapes, and Taybeh Winery's expression of it is a wine of quiet distinction.
Fruit-driven and medium-bodied, the Bitouni stands apart through its unique combination of dark fruit, wild herbs, and earthy depth — a profile that is unmistakably Palestinian and unlike anything grown elsewhere.
Tasting Notes
- Dark cherry and plums on the nose — ripe and generous
- Wild herbs, bay leaf, and liquorice adding aromatic complexity
- Earthy undertones grounding the fruit
- Soft tannins with a touch of texture and a clean, distinctive finish
