What is Palestinian Wine — and Where to Buy It in the UK?

One of the World's Oldest Wine Regions

Long before wine became synonymous with France or Italy, grapes were being cultivated in the Levant. Palestine sits at the heart of one of the oldest winemaking traditions on earth — a heritage stretching back thousands of years, shaped by ancient monasteries, indigenous grape varieties, and remarkable terroir.

Today, a small number of dedicated Palestinian wineries are reviving and redefining that tradition. At Nabeeth, we import their bottles directly to the UK.

The Wineries We Stock

Cremisan Winery – Beit Jala

Founded in 1885 by Salesian monks in Beit Jala near Bethlehem, Cremisan is the most established Palestinian winery. Their wines are made from indigenous Palestinian grapes as well as international varieties. Look out for the Hamdani-Jandali — a rare blend of two ancient local grapes found almost nowhere else in the world.

Ashkar Winery – Galilee Highlands

A boutique family winery from the Galilee Highlands, Ashkar produces elegant whites and rosés with bright acidity and a distinctly Mediterranean character.

Jascala Winery – Galilee Highlands

Jascala is a small, passionate winery nestled in the Galilee Highlands, where altitude and cool nights give their wines exceptional freshness and structure. Their Sauvignon Blanc is aromatic and refined — a brilliant introduction to Palestinian white wine. Jascala's reds are equally compelling: full of character, with ripe fruit and a distinctly Palestinian personality that sets them apart from anything you'd find from more familiar wine regions.

Taybeh Winery – Taybeh

Named after the Palestinian village of Taybeh, this winery produces expressive wines with a strong sense of place. Their Nadim Rosé is light, fragrant, and perfect for summer drinking.

Why Palestinian Wine?

Beyond the quality in the glass, choosing Palestinian wine is a way to support small, independent producers keeping an ancient tradition alive. These are real people, real vineyards, and wines with genuine stories behind them.

Palestinian wine is also genuinely rare in the UK — which means when you find a bottle you love, it tends to mean something.
